The Immortals Shock the World at NWA 77

ree

What a night at NWA 77! Fans packed the arena for the anniversary show, and few could have predicted the chaos that unfolded when The Immortals—Kratos and Odinson—overcame the brute force duo of Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch to become the new NWA World Tag Team Champions.

From the moment the bell rang, this fight was every bit the war we expected. Knox and Murdoch came in as hardened champions, a pair of tough-as-nails brawlers who thrive on breaking opponents down piece by piece. They looked strong early, isolating Odinson and punishing him with heavy strikes, quick tags, and classic tag team grit. The champs looked confident, maybe even too confident.

But then The Immortals started to rally. Odinson dug deep, absorbing everything Murdoch threw at him, and when he finally reached Kratos, the energy in the building flipped on its head. Kratos stormed in like a wrecking ball, leveling Knox with a clothesline that nearly turned him inside out.

The moment of the match—and maybe the entire night—came when Murdoch went for his signature top-rope bulldog. Fans were already bracing for the end, but Odinson caught him in mid-air with a devastating European uppercut that echoed through the arena. The place exploded.

With Knox stunned and Murdoch reeling, The Immortals struck with their crushing powerbomb/neckbreaker combo. Three seconds later, history was made.

As the referee handed over the titles, Kratos and Odinson stood tall, sweat-soaked and defiant, holding the NWA World Tag Team Championships high for the first time. The fans gave them a thunderous ovation, recognizing the birth of a new era.

Knox and Murdoch may not be done—they’re too tough and too proud to just fade away—but make no mistake: on this night, The Immortals were undeniable.

The NWA has always been about legacy, and at NWA 77, The Immortals carved their names into that legacy forever.
