On Monday night, buzz began online when AMC, the people behind The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, and Mad Men, took to X to tease something new coming Thursday, January 15, 2026. This caught wrestling fans’ attention, as it had previously been reported that TNA was in talks with the channel to make it the new home of Impact. And now this has been officially confirmed by the cable station, with other sources claiming the deal is for $30 million a year and ends the NXT partnership with TNA, having activated their 60-day termination clause.
TNA Impact first premiered in 2004 on Fox Sports Net, then moved to Spike TV in 2005, going on to become a two-hour prime-time show that sought to challenge WWE with edgier content and live episodes. Arguably, the show’s significance peaked during its 2010 Monday clash with Raw, though it would leave Spike in 2014. Since then, it has survived on Destination America, Pop, Pursuit, and, most recently, has been airing on AXS TV and TNA+, making it the most resilient national TV alternative to WWE ever.
